When I was a little girl I loved the Moon and Stars. I couldn’t get enough of them. Every evening they were out, I wanted to look up.
I started learning about astrology through reading! I couldn’t seem to get enough of every Astrology book I could find!! When I was 17 I generally checked the ‘astrology’ columns which describes people’s ‘Sun’ sign. A Sign that describes what you are ‘reaching for,’ or ‘how you express yourself.’
In the 70s, those columns typically had someone’s ’Moon’ sign, or their ‘emotional energy or ‘inner emotional workings of the self,’ so to speak.
By the time I was about 19, in 2005, I started wanting to dive deeper into #astrology and I started to read charts with the help of a book called, ‘The only astrology book you’ll ever need’ by Joanna Maritime Woolfolk.
A really great #book I recommend to anyone that wants to learn more about astrology, whether your own birth chart, or for others. Over the next few years I read multiple charts, always for #free, anywhere from my place of employment, to my personal life. I was gifted my first set of #Tarot cards in 2005 also. I was told that was traditionally the way one began reading. The man who read my cards, gifted me my first deck, stating I had natural aptitude for the #art of tarot. Between reading tarot or birth charts (astrology) for free, I kept myself busy and received amazing feedback from those I read for. At the age of 23 in 2009, I used to read Tarot at a local bar for people, also for free. I would do an #intuitive reading for them on the spot, and then I would #write the book meanings down along with #drawings of the card on a scroll, in order to allow the individual to recall what they needed from the intuitive reading but to also have the ‘book meaning’ for their own #interpretation. I believed the combination would be more beneficial and personal.
I am now 39 years old. In 2025, Reading charts now for 19 years and tarot cards for 20 years. I just made my #money as a #waitress and #bartender. (Pre being #crippled, I can no longer do that work, I tried) I did all of this on the side, usually #donating my time or doing so for free. I didn’t do a good job of ‘#promoting’ myself.
I believed TGA (Triple #Goddess #Healing #Arts and #Movement) would #flow how it needed to.
With astrology, In today’s world we can just pull up a chart easily to read for individuals.
I really #love that astrology tells you your strengths and lays down your weaknesses. It is the ultimate tool for self growth and #exploration. I like to use it as a tool to better understand others and develop clearer #communication. The reason I offer child and guardian/parental readings, is because I believe it to be a key in understanding your family dynamic in a beneficial and streamlined way.
I think those of us that have spent a life being misunderstood or harmed, have devoted our life to understanding human #consciousness. That along with my intuitive and observant nature, typically helps me read a chart or tarot cards with ease and directness.
Astrology was something that made so much sense to me. I have realized that by learning the character of each planet, sign and aspect you can put together infinite combinations to help describe what each placement indicates. There is a methodical way of teaching astrology; I find, for myself, using a more intuitive approach, while keeping in mind the foundations of what each sign, planet, and aspect has to say is most beneficial.
As far as ‘certifications’ in astrology goes, I have taken Debra Silverman’s (an astrologer for the Hollywood stars) first course, which helped me realise how ready I was to charge for reading charts. I also took a ‘Magickal astrology’ course through the Temple of Witchcraft. The school I received other certifications. A #halal #witchcraft school.
One of the other ways I realized how ready I was to read charts for money, because remember; I’ve been doing it for free for almost two decades now; is that I had a conversation with an amazing woman at Lori Bruno’s (a well known Strega witch, something many people have assumed I was) she and I both shared Saturn conjunct moon in Sagittarius, it is an aspect that caused us to want to learn everything to the depths of its existence and creates a personality that will NEVER want to stop learning and also never quite feels ‘ready enough’ to share our gifts. Through our conversation, we both realized how ready we were.
