For me a huge part of my wisdom and strength comes from my ancestry. Doing ancestral work has been an incredible part of my spiritual journey.
Though my trip to Peru was unplanned and to seek medical refuge, for a neglected spinal cord injury caused by domestic assault; it was a powerful because it was an ancestral journey.
Being indigenous and mixed race-with a spinal cord injury, leaving on foot with a walker. Ending up in South America.
Imagine the rage my angels and ancestors felt at this injustice-then the peace at bringing me back to a piece of me that was like home.
Peru was like a wonderland of beauty. I left From a town of a few thousand and went to a city of 11 million.
Alone, not speaking the language and no income while disabled.
I gravitated toward places that were sacred.
The Sea included.
Had I not been spinal cord injured or had more ability to adapt, I would’ve been in the sea every day.
The 7 sacred seas of Earth. Of which I have visited 4 so far.
Just being able to touch the Pacific Ocean was a blessing and connection to my ancestors.
For my ancestry, it is normal to honor the Sea and the river.
Ancestry work is beautiful and complex and it is said to heal 7 generations forward and 7 generations back.
I have given a free course on my ancestral work and worded it very well. Too bad it wasn’t filmed.
I guess people were busy exploiting me negatively in this time, so they forgot to focus on any positive.
That’s why my Ancestors walk with me.
They bring me peace and power. Strength and courage when I don’t have anyone.
Today is a Monday.
A ‘Moon’ day-I’m wearing red which typically would be worn on a Tuesday (a mars day) because the 7 days of the week are co-related to the 7 ‘lights’ or the initial planets that were honored and respected by the ancients.
But who are the ancients?
Is it the concept of time that keeps human beings from understanding cosmology?
The places I went felt brand new yet ancient-why is that?
Time is a human construct after all.
Or is it the forgetting of the Spirit?
The disconnection from our ancestors is exactly what strips us of our power.
Remembrance of who you are and where you come from is an important part of life.
I suggest connecting with your ancestors if you haven’t already.
These paintings represent my ancestry and heritage.
The three women with me as the figure NUIT represents the harmony & protection I feel with them all around me.
Dancing on the wind, raging in the seas, falling, as the stars in the sky; they protect me from every and all angles.
My ancestors walk with me.
The painting I was doing when my ex hit me in the spine-is called
‘Beltane’ a re-awakening and is the one I’m holding.
She is the ancestor that is from Nigeria.
She is a powerful woman, though she told me she wasn’t a woman, but a Goddess.
No matter your ancestry, walk proud and do not let anyone take that away from you.
Call to them, sing to them, talk to them, dance with them, be Magick with them and never forget.
